Alison Martin

director of community engagement

Alison grew up wearing her dad’s Carolina blue intramural champion shirt and finally earned her own as a Tar Heel in 2009. Originally from Greensboro, she graduated from UNC in 2012 with degrees in public policy and communications, as well as, a minor in entrepreneurship. She was involved in Young Life and an international women’s empowerment nonprofit, A Ban Against Neglect, while in Chapel Hill. North Carolina called her home after four years in Memphis. She is now settled in Durham with her husband and two-year-old son.

Alison serves at the Study Center as the Director of Community Engagement. She is thrilled to work at the Battle House after experiencing the need for a central, shared space for Christian hospitality on campus as a student. If you are interested in connecting at the Study Center as an alumni, UNC parent or community member, she is the one to call!
