Justice in the Academy

A roundtable discussion with students from UNC and Oxford

UNC graduate students are invited to join their peers at the University of Oxford for a roundtable discussion on the topic of justice. This frequently evoked but rarely defined term is far-reaching in its relevance. Whenever humans interact with each other, they are called to treat one another justly. But what exactly is justice? And what does it look like in academic disciplines like philosophy, political science, or ethics? As an entryway into these questions, we'll be reading a short piece by Nicholas Wolterstorff from the Global Faculty Initiative. This event is co-sponsored by the North Carolina Study Center and the Oxford Pastorate.

Please email Andrew Borror if you're interested in joining.
