Director of women’s ministry & Spiritual formation

Philipa joins the North Carolina Study Center (NCSC) through a partnership with the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO). She moved to North Carolina from London, England in October 2022 and is thrilled to call the Tar Heel State home. At the NCSC Philipa works to grow the women’s ministry and spiritual formation.

Philipa has held a number of positions as a women’s minister in London and also spent time working as a missionary in Tokyo, Japan. Prior to that she worked in Banking in the City of London. Over the years Philipa has also been involved in a number of pastoral ministries including college chaplaincy, international student’s growth groups and single’s ministry.

Philipa holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honours from the University of Arts London, a master’s degree in Social Research from the University of Westminster and most recently a Bachelor of Theology (Masters of Divinity) at the University of Oxford. 

Philipa is passionate about the nations and regularly visits mission partners and churches around the world. She is also the joyful godmother to five godchildren from four continents. Outside the NCSC she enjoys reading theology, gardening, the arts, the opera, hosting dinner parties and is an avid supporter of Arsenal F.C.
