Assistant director of communications

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Kayla graduated from the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2020 with a dual degree in Political Science and Strategic Communications; her senior thesis in fiction writing received a Chancellor’s Award. During her years at Carolina, the Study Center was her favorite place on campus! In 2022, she also received a Masters of Fine Arts in Fiction Writing from NC State University.

Passionate about higher education, prior to joining the staff at the Study Center, Kayla worked as an executive assistant at the dean level at NC State, where she also managed a student professional development program.

Her husband, Lucas, is a pastor and high school Bible teacher in Apex. The Pages live in Cary, where they spend their free time thrifting, visiting coffee shops, and hanging out with family.
